Hospice of Redmond-Sisters has volunteer opportunities in Redmond, Sisters, Tumalo, Culver, CRR, Terrebonne and the surrounding areas.

More than 25 years ago, our hospice started as an all volunteer agency.We strive to continue this tradition of caring for the community.We provide intensive training and offer a wide variety of ways for volunteers to assist with our programs, including:

• Patient/Family Support
• Bereavement (includes bereavement companions, grief group facilitators, Grief in Schools, Soup & Support)
• Errands & Delivery
• Administrative/Clerical
• Camp Sunrise
• Transitions
• Festival of Trees
• Garden & Grounds Maintenance
• Volunteer on Call
• Special Projects

Volunteer training consists of:

• A comprehensive program for those who want to work with patients and families;
• Monthly volunteer in-service and luncheons

The comprehensive program covers the history and philosophy of hospice, palliative vs. curative care, social work, bereavement, Transitions, communication, confidentiality and setting boundaries and much more. Our 2 hour orientation acquaints volunteers with the Hospice programs, confidentiality issues and opportunities for volunteering.
