the 2009 Festival of Trees.

The magic of the 26th annual Festival of Trees unfolded December 5 to some exciting and welcome changes. A big change was the event location. The beautiful Eagle Crest Resort Convention Center was the backdrop for this year's event. Beautifully decorated for the season, Eagle Crest's whimsical outdoor light show added to the enthusiasm of festival attendees.

The Festival featured 30 individually decorated Christmas trees, an artisan craft faire (for both day and evening attendees), great food/snacks, daytime visits with Santa for kids of all ages, games, local entertainment and much more.

Free family activities, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. drew the community together to enjoy the elaborately decorated Christmas trees, while enjoying entertainment by local music and dance groups. The evening gala festivities drew close to 300 people who enjoyed and evening of good food, good friends and the opportunity to support Redmond-Sisters Hospice.

This year's event not only supported some of our general and important programs, it also brought generous donations to our pediatric program.
