Fund-raising Event Benefits Hospice of Redmond - Sisters
The magic of the 24th annual Festival of Trees unfolds Saturday,
December 1 at the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center.Festival
of Trees, presented by Hospice of Redmond ‚ Sisters and Fred Meyer,
is a long-standing holiday tradition featuring more than 40 individually-decorated
Christmas trees, holiday wreaths, a live and silent auction, music,
visits with Santa and much more. Festival of Trees draws more
than 2,500 community visitors while raising important funds for
Hospice of Redmond - Sisters-funds that support patient care,
grief support services, youth counseling and volunteer programs.The
event showcases the creative talents of individual tree decorators
and ushers in the holiday season with festive activities and an
elegant Gala Buyerís Auction.
Free family activities, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. draw the
community together to enjoy elaborate Christmas trees, wreaths
and holiday fare. Children can visit Santa, participate in games
or build something at the Home Depot Children's Workshop. Entertainment
by local music and dance groups, raffles and a silent auction
add to the dayís festivities.
The magical Gala Buyer's Auction, which starts at 5:30 p.m.,
features a champagne and hors díoeuvres social hour, silent auction
and music by Lindy Gravelle. A live auction of trees begins at
7 p.m., followed by entertainment. Gala Buyerís Auction event
tickets are $40 and are available here.
